Which Toyota Model Should I Buy for my Teen?

Which Toyota Model Should I Buy for my Teen? Picking the safest car for your teen can be hard, especially if you factor in fuel economy, reliability and other factors that are important when choosing a new car. Lucking U.S. News and World Report has made this process easier by curating a list of the “Best New Cars for Teens Under $20,00.” This year, the Toyota iA made its mark on the automotive editors. The U.S. News and World Report picks cars with the best combination of overall quality, reliability, safety ratings, and accident-avoidance technologies across five different price brackets.

The Toyota Yaris iA stood out to editors as a great pick for teens because, “Tied with the Chevrolet Sonic for the No. 2 spot in our subcompact car rankings, the 2018 Toyota Yaris iA starts at $15,950. The Yaris iA, which was known as the Scion iA a few years ago, offers many standard features, a high-quality interior, and nearly best-in-class fuel economy.

All Yaris iA models come with Bluetooth, two USB ports, an easy-to-use 7-inch touch screen, a rearview camera, and voice recognition. The base, 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine gets 32 mpg in the city and 40 on the highway. It is mated to a six-speed manual transmission, though a six-speed automatic is available.”

The Toyota Yaris iA features a push to start engine and a special sport mode engine. But while this added sport mode may make your teen feel like they are driving fast and furiously, the Yaris iA comes with some very important standard safety features that should give you peace of mind. Some of these features includes Dynamic Stability Control, Traction Control System, Anti-Lock Brake System, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Brake Assist and Brake Override System.
