Prius sales more than double in Japan

The 2010 ToyotPrius is off to a great start here in the US - and abroad. In a recent article in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel it was reported that Prius sales have more than doubled.

Yesterday Toyota announced they have surpassed the one million mark for Hybrid vehicle sales in the United States. What is so staggering about that number, though, is just how fast it happened. The Prius was originally introduced to the U.S. in 2000, and between 2000 and 2007 Toyota sold 500,000 hybrid vehicles. 2010 Toyota Prius EPA

Toyota has some great news for those city drivers out there looking to get their hands on a new Prius, the best selling hybrid out there. With the revised EPA MPG you can now expect to be getting 51 MPG in the city, though the freeway is now at 48 you can still expect a combined rating of 50 MPG. Not too bad!
